Most psychedelia 🙂 I find psytrance or psychill can be pretty powerful. Film soundtracks are also very nice.

I like the way music separates when I’m smoking, feels like I tune into individual instruments and rythyms. These days I usually put on an internet radio and discover the greatest band ever, until I listen again straight. But in this state I got into funk and soul, I usually listen to Best Of compilations from the olden days…. It’s Great To Be Here by The Jackson 5 has to by my fave smooth sound, it’s got kettle drums and a verse about kissing an “eskimo” which seems kind of naive and sweet nowadays.

This is a great thread tho, will come back to it for suggestions when I get hooked up again.

I used to listen to trip hop when smoking. Massive attack, portishead, unkle ect. Also a nice bit of dub.

I discovered this artist called ‘moth equals’ – he makes trip hop which is quite melodic in places.
