What drugs, for SWIY, are most likely to welcome a night-long binge (or day long for the more hardcore users)? SWIM notices that opioids are unlikely to incite a binge. He is happy with even the most minuscule doses. But, for alcohol, SWIM will go to any length to get high off of anything. The same goes for high doses of amphetamines. What drugs, for SWIY provoke such behaviors, and, pharmacologically speaking, why? Obviously, the GABA effects of alcohol, and the dopamine overload of amphetamines trigger SWIM.
Any other thoughts?
AFOAF thinks that like you said amphetamines are pretty inductive(wc?) to a binge because the effects last so long for AFOAF at least. Like he can smoke like 1/8th of a gram and he will be up for at least 24 hours. But he thinks that the most binge creating would be coke because there hasn’t been one time where he did coke and didn’t immediately want more when it was gone. Pharmacologically speaking coke blocks the synaptic enzymes from recycling the dopamine which leads to a huge increase in dopamine in your brain. Where as as far as I’m aware methamphetimine (sp?) just releases massive amounts of dopamine into the synapse. Maybe this difference makes the difference for AFOAF in which one is more binge worthy. Because when AFOAF takes speed after he just wants to come down, whereas because coke wears of faster he just wants more and more.
For me, I find a lot of people binge drink, these binges don’t go on as long as drug binges because you pass out or die before a few days is up. Amphetamine for me is the most likely to maybe not start a binge, but allow you to continue it well beyond what you could manage on any other drug, including coke. As for opioids, I’ve done a few days on them but probably no more than 2/3 days where as amphetamines, I could say WAY MORE than 2 weeks.
Think the best answer is that people will binge on their drug of choice given the chance, whether that be cannabis, coke, speed, alcohol, etc etc..
EDIT: in answer to the actual question, the drug most likely to lead to a binge is alcohol, unquestionably. Almost every person will be more likely to try, or do something they wanted to avoid, or just be much more likely to overindulge in any other drug when drunk.
I think this is entirely dependant on an individual’s biochemistry and particular type of high they enjoy.
Also how are you defining a binge? From the way you have written your post, I take it you measure a binge by length of time spent on drugs? I think a binge could also be measured by amount of drug taken also, or how high the individual became at the peak of the binge.
And factors such as stress, medical conditions such as insomnia and type of substances accessible may lead to an increased chances of a binge.
My opinion is there is no black or white answer to this question, it is a grey area with different results/answers attached to each person.
(LSD or MESCALINE) + (2-BC or MDMA) + WITH A VERY DISCRETE TALKING ABOUT COCAIN COMING 100% VERY LATER, EVEN IT IS ALREADY IN YOUR POCKET AND OF COURSE A LOT OF DRINKS AND WEED FUNDEMENTAL)
AND THE WORSE TO NEVER DO IS GIVING SOME BODY A DRUG BY FAKING HIM IT’S FOR EXAMPLE MDMA AND ITS IN REALITY LSD, THAT’S THE BEST WAY TO GET THE OPPOSITE YOU WANT AND IS TRULY THE BADEST JOKE TO DO
TO SOMEONE AND CAN BE COMPARE TO A “CRIME”
