  • i went to CEX to try n buy FF6 for the ps1 for like 40 quid….. i was fucking baffled and told them to shove it up their ass.

Made quite a scene actually :p

Skate 3 is the game for me at the moment 😉

why black ops? battlefield has much better game play and is some what more realistic. But this is personal opinion of cause

What are you playing system are you playing on?

Battlefield 2 is without doubt in my top five games ever. The resulting console sequels haven’t come close in my opinion, so I’ve stayed away from them. Hopefully they will crack it one day.

Is skate 3 like the others? It seemed like they’d plumped for a more team based online type game, which isn’t really for me. I only like playing FPS online really.

Same question to Mr Bio Tech ?

I play on Xbox. I was a PC gamer for a while and although I think it’s technically superior and more immersive it’s full of issues and bloody expensive (and continues to be if you want to keep up). Also, having a console is a bit more sociable and much easier to whack on for a few minutes of entertainment.

I have not yet had the pleasure of PC gaming but it does seem to be the way ahead , however i know nothing of the PC gaming world im guessing its not so straight forward then?

It’s easy to buy top spec parts and shove them in a machine and building a PC isn’t too hard either but you may run in to conflicts between different hardware and software.

As hardware and software is ever changing you will run in to complications with games that you buy and even games that you have been playing for years without issue (when you upgrade hardware or direct x). There is often conflicts between hardware, sometimes causing very minor issues but sometimes making games unplayable.

To be honest it’s just much easier to grab a console and play without any of those concerns. Not only that, but consider that a decent gaming PC costs £1000+ and will continue to cost you as games becoming more demanding, whereas a console will cost you about 300 max. It’s no contest for me as I can’t justify shelling that amount of cash out to play games. That said, if you are likely to use a powerful PC for loads of other stuff (music production etc) then it might be worth it – but if you want to be picky aboout it then you shouldn’t mix a gaming and music machine together.

Thank you very much thats answerd about 7 questions in one,

Daft keeps chomping at the bit to build me one when I mention it , but it is an interesting point about the music prduction /games machine. Maybe getting way ahead of my self though as i do not produce any music yet!:laugh_at:

Hmmm maybe less time gaming would make more time for music production?:weee:

REALLY looking forward to Dawn of War II: Retr=][=bution.

Skate 3 is just another EA joke. the rendering isn’t that good much like fifa. Also the ai is quite poor, they rushed the game i feel, as a skateboarder i would rather play thrasher skate & destroy

Skate 3 is epic, it’s not much different from 1 and 2 but they just made it pureeeeeeee fun 😉

Dont play games much anymore. If anything, It will be some MW2 on the PC.

I have though just recently hooked my SNES up to my PC to play games and have been razzing through Donkey Kong Country and other random games.

I have a thing for those grey cartridges haha.

you really shouldn’t need to spend over 1G for a very nice PC That’ll last a good few years b4 it starts getting out of date…. alltho you’ll not get the latest things out .. you often find the latest components are not much better then recent previous parts (if at all in some cases) but cost about 3 times as much.

I just built a nice PC for my dad for around £400-£450 – you can play cod mw on it with barely any glitches in gfx on the highest lvl of detail … as long as you don’t have a giant monitor … as a massively high screen res can be quite demanding on the gfx card when playing pc games.

I don’t see a problem mixing a gaming and music machine together … It’d probably cost less in the long run as well, as long as you’ve got a good processer (which you’d need for both anyway) and an external sound card, I see no problem at all really.
