  • Ermm GCSE’s were pretty average lol;

    English Lit: C
    English Lang: C
    Maths: C
    History: C
    Geography: C
    PE: C
    IT: B
    Spanish: B
    Physics: B

Then at college I did IT, Business & Photography and got straight As (apart from IT in which I got an A*).

Hated school, and I can probably count the days I wasn’t blazed at college on one hand.

Jokesgez that’s well good mate. To be fair i’m supposed to be ‘intelligent’ but hate school and am probably going to fail my A-Levels, we’ll see. The extra pressure of being ‘intelligent’ doesn’t help though

Im exactly the same which is why the teachers used to get so annoyed at my nonchalant attitude since it was wasting talent i guess. i was a lazy fucker and didnt care about anything and then one day i took a look around and realised a lot of my mates were moving on to do things like work and uni or something, whilst the rest got left behind on top of the scrapheap. i got my head down and just got on with it because i didn’t wanna end up like some of my older mates who live alone in a shit house scraping by on jsa, sure it might be fun for a little bit but its gonna get lonely eventually.

im going to uni this year and then i’ll see what wild road that takes me down

Maths and double science all B’s

Eng lang D and lit E

    French C

the rest I either flunked or can’t remember lol.

I should of got an A in my maths really, my my teacher hated me and put me in the lower test group, she told me it was imposable for me to get a B with my coarse work, so put me in the intermediate exam with a predicted grade of C-D. I must of got 100% on the exam or very close to it as I got a B, which was top marks for intermediate, and must of had ok course work or I’d of got less.

I’m the same mate, fucking sucks though..

Daft that happened to me aswell (sort of). Did fine on my first 2 higher papers, got easy C’s, got a new nazi teacher who fucking hated me with a passion and went out of her way to be a twat to me who moved me down to foundation (where like 80% marks are needed for a C rather then like 20% which I could’ve got piss easy) so I ended up getting a high D instead of a C and getting a D overall. It’s funny how they say teachers genuinely want to help you, I could tell some did, but talk about fucking up someones life for a few years.

    I got 9 gcse’s

    ENG LIT D
    ENG LANG C
    MUSIC D
    DRAMA D
    GERMAN U
    PHISICS E
    BIOLOGY E
    CHEMISTRY D
    RELIGIOUS ED U

    Gcse’s:
    French A
    English Lang B
    English lit B
    Art B
    German B
    Science x2 C /C
    Maths C
    Religious studies D

    A levels :
    Fashion C
    English lit D
    German: ungraded

I developed a dislike for being told what to do in infant school ( including my parents being called up to the school to explain this: to tell them, yep she don’t like it)

I decided I better do well at school and my best mate was (is) a Chinese girl who was ‘hot house’ educated, and she helped me study (lots) and despite being a total stoner I did really well

This didn’t help too much during my a levels, smoked too much before the German and actually was so fucked I fell off my chair (:p) and and got a Y??!! But I also found other substances, enjoyed free / squat parties, and boys so I’m not complaining :p

I’ve done alright since, despite being diagnosed dyslexic since, got a diploma and post grad diploma ( and fuck me they were hard and I had to do the dyslexia test again. Which totally stresses me out!) but it helps me realise where school wasn’t too great for me at times

But after all this tsmbrlibg, read Oliver James
School doesn’t teach our kids what they need to know

I don’t have kids but if I did I’d’ve skeptical about the system

French: A (only one I did better than GL on, get in!)
    English Lit: C
    English Language: C
    History: C
    Science: C
    Maths: C

    All the rest were D’s.

There seems to be a recurring theme in this of intelligent people getting so fucked over / bored shitless by the system and just getting blazed instead, and it appears that rather than nurture these minds and allow them to blossom and flourish, the teachers would rather stifle them and leave them with no real sense of direction. What a fucking ridiculous policy!

Yeah I was more into day dreaming or talking then learning.

Daydreams can probably teach you more than most teachers can these days mate!

This is well true. The only decent teachers I had were for History/English, cause they actually engaged you and made the lesson a bit more fun rather then being fucking boring.
I had to to teach myself maths from years 8-11 my teacher was that bad, so it could’ve been worse!

Funnily enough mate, my English and History teachers were the only decent ones I had too. My French teacher wasn’t too bad either I guess, but all the rest were dicks!

As if to prove my point, just found a link to this on fb:

Hahaha that article is hilarious! “However, I realise retrospectively that the sight of two acidy youths walking militantly through the night clutching large, dangerous objects is not a sight often associated with love.”
Well true though, the amount of funny stuff I’ve done on drugs. I think this calls for a new thread.

I discovered cannabis just before A levels so only got D for Maths, U for Chemistry and N for Physics, though if I had been offered the newer A/AS levels I would have done a mixture of arts and science course but multimedia hadn’t been invented then!
