i love that slang word
oh rly?
it deffo does fuck yr lungs, is that due to it burnin at a hotter temp tho??
I hav found that cause of my younger days of smokin bong and dips all the time that i get chest infections all the time. had one now for 3 weeks, done by anti biotics but still no chance.
Always find i get them more around now cause of all the free parties which are on.
ganja seems really tarry, the common thing is to inhale longer and deeper and hold the smoke
bongs might clean the smoke a little, but that wet air is likely to cause chest infections
so whether it’s the substance or the method… one way or another, it’s going to damage your lungs
oh well :weee:
live healthy, eat healthy… die anyway :groucho:
:laugh_at: :laugh_at:
fair point!
bongs might clean the smoke a little, but that wet air is likely to cause chest infections

is there anyone that smokes green but not tobacco, who can comment?
its the stuff they spray on the green stuff before you get it that f***s you up inside…im sure homegrown by yourselfs would be less of a danger….they put all kinds of shit in pot ……..:crazy_dru
Witney MP Mr Cameron and Andrew Smith, Oxford East Labour MP, both refused to follow Mr Johnson’s lead last night.Evan Harris, MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, however said he had never tried either drug.
In a frank interview with this month’sGQ magazine, Mr Johnson said: “I tried it (cocaine) at university and I remember it vividly. It achieved no pharmacological, psychotropic or any other effect on me whatsoever.”
Mr Johnson had previously said, on TV show Have I Got News For You, that he was once given cocaine but sneezed “so it did not go up my nose”.
In the GQ interview, asked by former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan whether some of the powder crept into his nose, “despite the sneeze”, Mr Johnson replied: “It must have done, yes, but it didn’t do much for me I can tell you.” Asked if he had tried any other drugs, Mr Johnson responded: “Cannabis, you mean? Yes, I have.
There was a period before university when I had quite a few spliffs. “But funnily enough, not much at university. It was jolly nice. But apparently it is very different these days. Much stronger. I’ve become very illiberal about it. I don’t want my kids to take drugs.”
The Oxford Mail asked the county’s MPs if they would follow Mr Johnson’s lead, but Mr Cameron’s spokesman said: “We have nothing further to add. It’s exactly as it was. No comment on his life before going into politics.”
Labour MP Mr Smith also said: “I have always and consistently declined to comment on this.”
Liberal Democrat MP Mr Harris said: “I didn’t take cocaine or cannabis but the question for Conservative Party politicians is why their policy is to give criminal records to all young people who experiment with these drugs while either having done it themselves or even worse, in the case of David Cameron, refusing to give a straight answer.
“Tory policy, trying to appear tough on drug-taking, does not permit a defence of youthful indiscretion so Boris Johnson really has to explain why he is not seeking to prosecute himself to the full extent of the law that he wishes to impose on everyone else.”
Banbury MP Tony Baldry was abroad on Parliamentary business and could not be contacted last night. Wantage MP Ed Vaizey was also unavailable.
Ann Ducker, president of South Oxfordshire Conservative Association and leader of South Oxfordshire District Council, dismissed Mr Johnson’s admission with a laugh. She said: “It was all a long time ago and he is very much against drugs now. We will certainly not be asking for his resignation or anything like that.”
But anti-drugs campaigner Anna Nichols from Didcot, who is running courses on how to “drug-proof” children, was not happy. She said: “Yet another high profile person admitting to using drugs points again to the fact that so many across all walks of life experiment with illegal drugs. Boris and his family were fortunate it did not progress beyond experimentation.”
What is the big hoo-haa about politicians tryng drugs in their younger days?
because unlike anyone else in society, they put themselves in positions where they feel they have the right to judge us and/or make laws stating what we can or cannot do.
What annoys me is they are all too fucking spineless to admit they took drugs and enjoyed them or even just that it didn’t fuck up their lives, and therefore are still prepared to press on with prohibition despite how damaging it is to the world.
I think politicians or other people in high places admit to use/trying drugs is a demonstration that you can combine drug use with being sucessfull (well there are a bunch of fuck wits, but you know what i mean).
exactly – but then why support prohibition? thats just hipocrisy. Why don’t these politicians or even whole political parties have the backbone to say they will not blindly support the misguided UN prohibitions on drugs, in exactly the same way Britain defied the UN to engage in military action in Iraq?
Canada (which now has a centre right government) has managed to do this to an extent and keep doing this without their country collapsing …
The legal punishments for drug use stand in the way of a rational discussion of their role in society and confuse a lot of people. On one hand drugs are simply vilified by the law, on the other hand the work of creative proponents of drug use is praised (art, music, film), on another hand celebrity drug use is glamourised in trendy gossip magazines and on yet another hand Members of Parliament are admitting or denying previous drug use to appease their potential supporters.
I’m not surprised the world is confused about the ‘D’ word.
I admire Boris Johnson’s honesty.
Drugs should not be illegal.
Was reading the comments on the news site and thought this bloke had a point.
that really pisses me off what that lady says down the bottom about the anti drugs officer, i think you shouldnt knock them till you take them, good on boris johnson for admitting and i think david cameron would to if he wast running for prime minister. i reacon tony blair has smoked da reefa before(or something strong) and it pisses me off how these presidents get taken up for taking drugs AGGEESS ago
good on ya boris, ur a star
