I’m slowing down now. Less mashups for me as it’s taking me longer to recover from the comedowns! Given up smoking as well so yay for me! (God how i miss it!!:cry:)

I’m attempting to give up smoking again and ain’t doing too bad. The pangs are a real pain in the arse but don’t last too long. I bought a Collins Gem book and it’s proper opened my eyes to what smoking does to ya. I’ve gone completely cold turkey and haven’t smoked since last sunday night, although had my first stick of nicotine gum earlier! cos i proper got the arse!

With the exception of DjProcess who i know has quit, Have any of you dear readers, successfully quit the pipe weed and stuck to it? :love:

Thats the thing boothy, i enjoy it as well but it’s seriously hampering my fitness program so it had to go. I’ve still got ten fags left and cos i’ve had a line, i’m well tempted to have one now! Fucking nicotine! :crazy_diz

I packed in a fortnight ago, cold turkey. I have previously given up twice for three months each time. I find that as the days go by the need grows less, and the thing which helps me ignore the pangs is that I do not want to smoke and enjoy very few cigs. I’ve passed a few milestones..first trip to the pub…first argument with the breadknife…first day back at work…but will I survive an upcoming party? Tough one.

Anyway Cliffy, stick at it. (Alan Carr book helped me understand how the pleasures of smoking are a bit of a lie.)

As an aside, it really pisses me off that for generations working class blokes, particularly from the North and Scotland have been dieing early because of industry and cigarettes. I think its part of a class war to kick this shit. (has anyone got a light)
