i believe schwag is cheap dry mexican weed, with lots of stalks (stems) and seeds(beans) , have had some simmaler in uk often accused of being african, very cheap and harsh to smoke, im guessin yola is charles(ticket charge)

posession up to about a few ounces (sometimes even more!) and even of pills/coke – you just get a caution. This is like an infraction in US law but without the fine. You may sit in jail cells (part of the police station in England) for a couple of hours; then cops interview you and you get told off for doing drugs as they are bad for you ; you sign a paper and are then sent on your way.

the only bad thing about a caution is that some countries (USA!) won’t let you in as easily and you have to declare it if you work with kids. Otherwise it is not normally reported in the newspapers and there are no other extra penalties such as removal of college grants, eligibility for welfare, driving licenses etc..

If you are selling most people do about 5 years max in prison for first offence (even class A drughs which are schedule 1) and often you get let out on parole or license after 2.5 years!

if you keep selling drugs and getting caught , are a big time gangster and are using violence and especially weapons penalties are harsher, about 7 to 20+ years although large sentences are often only for trafficking serious amounts of drugs across borders etc…

you can pretty much carry 5 grams legally. they may take your name, but thats it.

anything up to about a few ounces will get you a formal caution, thats taken down teh cells and given a temporary criminal record, and all your drugs and equipment seized.

any more than that and you are either lucky (freind of mine got away with 9 ounces and 25 plants because of extenuating circumstances – that doesnt happen often. if it was anyone else they prolly woudl have gone down or gotten community service (cleaning graffitti up etc) or will get a fine, an electronic tag meaning curfews and bail (parole) conditions. or all of teh above.

I got myself a formal caution for possetion the other year of the courtesy of the Metropolitan Police Force.. (Sniffer dog on tottenham court underground station) Anyways I was told that because its drug related it will stay on my record for ever, god knows tho. I wouldn’t trust a thing I was told while I was there… They took my mates DNA, Prints etc and locked him up for the night just for carrying around cash, not even a J’s worth of green.. Gave him a vertal warning in the morning for carrying around money.. pretty fucked up.. he was told because he was arrested for a drug offence even tho he wasn’t charged etc they will keep his dna etc on file..

Even worse, I was arrested for Possession with Intent to supply but only got a formal caution for possession, however on the police disclosure in the “Caution/Reprimand/Warning details” section it comes up with “possessing controlled drug w/i to supply – class b – cannabis” which annoys the fuck out of me. I admitted possession, I always denyed i had any intent to supply, so I figure it really shouldn’t come up.. A Caution for Possession fair enough, its regretable but most employers wouldn’t mind. Intent to supply is kinda different tho..

Should be ok as long as your not working with children or vunerable adults..

enhanced CRB will always show cautions of any kind; and because its a caution it tends to be the largest charge they initially had you on (from initial custody record on the computer).

One of mine is “possession class a” when the drug I in fact had was amphetamine powder – only class B.

I am surprised though Intent to supply was classed as a caution; correctly the record should be altered to posession only but CRB info isn’t always accurate. You may be able to challenge this but of course doing so will subject your own life and activities to further Government scrutiny…

Just a quick note.. I look after the personnel for a group of residential schools, you won’t be turned down for a job working with children if you have a caution on your CRB, it’s something to do with newdiscrimination laws for CRB enhanced disclosures, as long as you let your new employers know about the caution they cannot refuse to employ you unless they can prove that you would be a direct threat to the vulnerable people you work with, a caution by it’s very nature is not deemed serious enough by the police for a prosecution so you should be ok.

You can request a copy of your police records and get them to change the caution if it is wrong, but it ends up costing you money and the police really drag their feet and make it difficult.
