I think a slightly larger proportion of todays youths (age 16 upwards) are more clued up than we were at that age, but there as yet still too many repeating the mistakes of the past. It hits harder in EU countries as we all have a public healthcare system what ends up picking up the pieces

the biggest barrier IMO is the legacy my generation left this society in the 90s..

IME most “normal people” in this area don’t actually form their views from the media but from their own experiences – and when they have seen their own relatives or friends go bad from pills its hardly surprising they don’t want to see any leniency being granted to drug users.

Of course you don’t need it to feel high….but why deny yourself the chance to turn an already good and fun experience into an amazing (and possibly even life-changing) one? That’s my take on it anyway….I raved before I touched drugs, so I can sorta see both perspectives on it, but my best memories have come from the times I’ve been on MDMA.

Exactly why I’m never too optimistic. You’d have to tranquilise all of these MOFO’s first before any true legislation allowing for REAL personal freedom came into play. Not read article, maybe it’s all a step in the right direction?

It would be nice, I’d love it if E was regulated so no nasty shit was added to it but they’d never allow it. Once i’ve won the euros i’m gonna buy my own island and make my own laws! :weee:

Take MDMA and as you come up, suddenly it’s like the music has been turned up 4 times as loud and is almost coming from inside of your head. You are beginning to form one with the rhythm. To those not experienced in this, and denying themselves it with justifications such as ‘hey, who needs it, should be there for the music), I say bollocks, a rave is 1000x better with it! To the point SWIM won’t go to an outdoor party (SWIM doesn’t do drugs at clubs) without good pure MDMA crystal (also won’t touch pills – did back in ’93-’95 when Doves were the bollocks).
