There’s still bog all up in the North East. I really miss the Mandy buzz. I won’t take pills, as (as pill report shows) there’s just no knowing what’s in them.
Mandy is however a drug that needs to be treated with extreme respect and caution. I went nuts on it (literally) for a couple of years. I was on an emotional roller coaster and was a tempest in the midst of a storm for a lot of that time.
But I was stupid then – and I learned the difference between use and abuse.
I don’t think I did any permanent damage – as my use was still too infrequent for this, but still it was only due to this shortage and having time to recover that I realised just how ‘out there’ I was.
All the same, the prospect of living permanently without the ‘unique magic’ and insight that Mandy can provide, if used rarely and responsibly, does scare me.
It is something I’d like to revisit at least (or at most) once or twice a year. (Mainly for festivals 😉 )
But I am so out of touch with the scene now (due to the dry-up lasting so long up this way) that I wouldn’t even know where to start looking for the real deal any more.
Oh well, I suppose my only option is to carry on with my forced recovery and to become ‘respectable’ like everyone else, lol.
