I still occasionally go to a great one with proper ravers but mainly I turn up and it is people trying to be rudeboys and kids trying to get as messed up as possible and just coming for the drugs, I would love to know if there are still real raves going on 🙁

I am since 16 years, making :crazy:Free Tekno Party:crazy:

I started with 15 Years, helping local Sound Systems in building up the Soundsystems, working as bartender or making deco and light.
I felt in immediatly in L O V E with the spirit, so i said to myself: Dude, this is it 😉 Do it !

So i started very early with DJing, meanwhile i learned to produce my own tunes, and after some rough years, squatting down over europe, travelling and collecting my impressions from this totaly new Universe, i decided, to get pro.
i studied Audio Engineering @ SAE Institute Vienna (Bachellor) & Brisbane (Master)

1997 i went on my first Underground Rave, 10 yrs wo a single break, almost every weekend.

Since ~ 2008 i concentrate myself on this “problem” cause my heart is bleeding, when i see the whole Underground Tekno Movement turning into bad.

~2000 happened something, that started this “process”

in the 90´we had around 300 people @ partys in Austria.
pretty familly, you know more or less each other, and you feel very safe in this environment
but, the partys and adventures with it, had been far to nice.
so people hyped the comlete scene. from 300 up to 5000 visitors was the movement growing in real short time.
thats not good for any movement.
underground, mystery, adventure, cheap drugs in best qualitiy and good people like me 😀 and the 23 had been the reason, and the safe environment wo police…
the new guests, didnt know anything bout “Free Tekno”
They only seen a Rave, without Tickets for the entry, without police or other things like security …. and last but not least, people that enjoy eperiencing with drugs of all kind.
i ve seen so much people, gettin rich n dieing. they pushed it to the limits and more.
the sound systems got problems with the visitors, or with other soundsystems.
much people from the “core” stoped going on partys cause of that, and the complete movement swapped.
Everybody from the “good old times” stayed at home, worked or looked for better experience in other countrys, but it was not only happening in austria.
this “virus” was everywhere.
i remember 1 special day.
i ve been in czech rep. for the teknival in the year 2004, mabe it is 2005, and after some days in good moods and party, some guys, run over the area, searching for an artist.
They had been searching for Suburbass.
This DJ and producer, he was quiet young, gave to the press an interview about the free tekno scene. he explained exactly, what it means ( in his oppinion) to be part of the movement.
more or less he said:

• pay for nothing
• get everyhing
• no rules
• dresscode
• crime

he explained word by word, the dresscode, selling drugs, stealing petrol, and everything else u need for the goal

so, these guys ve been searching for him on that teknival, they had around 20 guys with em, and gave to the people the journal, with the interview.
after some hours, there had been ~ 200.000 people !!! making rave… they found a guy, that knows him. this guy said: i show u his appartment, cause i cant let him make such bullshit…
the whole group went from the party, around 200 km to his place, it was the studio in prague, catched him, burned down his studio and equipment, and took him to the teknival.
then he got a dog leash on his throat, went down on his hands and knees, and the gone with him, from one soundsystem to the next one, untill all stages ve been visited.
at every single stage, they stoped the music, talked to the people about what he had done, and the people realy wanted to kill that guy.
it was completely unbelievable waht that scumbag done.
he was only crying and gave all promises he can do….
after they went with him far away, cause if they did not look for his security, he realy got killed.. 4 sure
long time, nobody heard anything bout him, no soundreleases, no gigs, nothing
not even a fukking interview 😀
today, this guy is playing Rave on parties, but not on underground tekno partys.
on fukking commercial “upperground” partys, like i call em.
its nearly the same, but, no SPIRIT
u pay 20€ and more for a day, or ~ 100 for the weekend. no camping area, drinks are not fair priced, food too.
its just, they dress like us, play nearly the same sound like us, and are telling to the people, we r the tribe :head_bang
yes, realy.
the UNDERGROUND TEKNO MOVEMENT was taken over from BUSINESS
it´s all about the fukking MONEY.
they sold their souls
now, there are these 2 groups in one movement
still making its process
but i look positiv in the future.
it s getting turning back now 😉
people are atm starting to awake, asking for the roots.
they cry for the SPIRIT
and this is something, these bastards never get.

i think, u can describe this process with the coallision of two galaxys, when they are turning through each other on their journey through the universe.
it looks like a big crash, but there is so much space, between the single objects, that they pass through wo hitting each other.
same is happening here…..
but i can tell u, SPIRIT never dies
we still make good partys
maybe not every weekend, but at least a couple times a year.
and these are the real raves.
