i wonder if any of the soldiers managed to sneak some away before it all got logged? You think 216 tons or whatever no-ones gonna miss a couple of ton here or there. Id like to think some of the more enterprsing soldiers liberated at least some of it…

I’ve had a shoulder injury now for nearly 10 years and I have such low energy levels, some days i don’t even want to get out of bed. Doctors believe the injury was due to a boxing and sports which may have caused the injury but to this day can’t diagnose me with a medical condition, so am left mind boggled with what and how to explain to people what I have.

Anways I went through a phase of 4 month of trying heroin and I couldnt believe how much it helped me get back to my feet. I started taking it because i felt low and depressed and saw a friend taking it and used to see the effects it had on him, how he would change from being all snappy and moody to up and ready for anything. So after taking it a few times I relised I wasn’t aching or feeling tired or low and I even started playing basketball for hours on end like I used to before my injury. I couldn’t believe the effects, my muscles weren’t getting fatigued either I was actually getting in to really good shape, working out regularly things were getting so good I was changing into someone I used to be. I was able to do things without even feeling any pain, even family at home couldnt believe I was feeling so well.

But as with all drugs I had to stop my use of herion due to not being able to afford to feed the habit.

Now that I am clean from the drug, I’m struggling to get that full of life feeling where I can get up pick up a basketball and hit the courts for hours on end, and feeling ready to get in the gym and do a good solid workout without muscle fatigue, instead I’m gettin that old feeling back where I used to just stay in bed acheing from head to toe, tiredness, that sort of thing.

I really hate this! But i really don’t want to go back to taking heroin, as much as I used the drug to aid me back onto the love of my life (basketball, boxing and working out).

I just can’t go back onto it, is there anyone out there who can explain to me or break down what I was experiencing and whether there are cheaper, safer or legal ways of getting that feeling back?

I dont care if I dont get a high, I don’t want a highs, I just want the pains to go so I can get on with doing what I love.

PS: Just out of curiosity could morphine be the drug which gave me all that effect? not sure if heroin contains morphine, just taking a guess.

have you spoken to your GP honestly about the pain you are experiencing and how it is debilitating, as resoting to smack seems quite extreme ?

(as in — all the additional complications that can come from using it…)

you may ask to be refered to a pain clinic where they are specialists at dealing with pain managemnet – every hospital has one

rather than get your self an illegal smack habit and addiction,
they can look at non physically addictive options such as steriod injections (and alternatives) straight in the the muscle / joint,

they may look at opiated pain relief (legal- morphine based) but I know quite a few people who have had this and got themselves a nice little legal habit, and ended up getting a physical and psychological dependance to these,

and in a few cases needed help from their local drug team to be detoxed, as their GP or clinic just keep prescribing…..

over the counter pain relief can be codiene and paracetamol prepairations – however if you have built up a tolerance they may not even touch the sides

also you may want to look at your life in a holistic way and see if there are other areas in which you want to improve it – as I just find it extreme that you would use ‘H’ when pretty much all of know where it leads……………….. and its not a good place

firstly thanks for all the replies, basically over the yrs ive had numerous mri scans on my shoulder and neck, ive had the nerve and muscle test twice, ive had physiotherapy, ive had acupunture and ciropractice over the years ive tried alot things ive never really sat back and just tried to live with the pain, doctors cant seem to find the problem and sometimes come across as they dont really give a damn, the one thing that really scares me and it could be the cause of everything, is ive not had a any kind of examination of the head, its just so scary to find out theres a problem with the brain etc, my next step is to get a brain scan not sure if you guys agree with me there. Anywas if i wanted to get relief via morphine wot would be the best way to go about asking my doctor cause ill be honest he just dont seem to care he most of the time assumes am ok and i can live with it.
