Life is good,nearly a month now and im startin to feel like my normal self,just wanted to say thanks to those who toke the time to talk to me when things were shit,you have no idea how much that helped.So big hugs to you all you know who you are.

FW: My new man has just come off Methadone, i am really proud of him. I just feel so ignorant sometimes, and he doesnt wanna talk about it and i feel useless when he seems so distant. Any info advice pls….

methadone is an evil drug to get hooked on, the withdrawals last for months and are extremely unpleasant (I know from experience)…

thats because these articles come from the old “static” bit of partyvibe from the 1990s and pre-date the forum becoming really popular – its only recently they’ve been copied into the “dynamic” bit (i.e forum, PM’s and other you can contribute to or edit)

well that’s the warning guys, never go to the nhs when wanting to come off H

19 months of hell on methadone and subbies prolonged withdrawals and detox

sounds similar to my experience, i so wish i never went to the NHS but i know what it is like at the time when you are desperate and not rich enough to go to the Priory, like where else do you go?

116 days after my last dose and i’m ok apart from a sickening numbness in my brain that prevents me from getting any true pleasure out of anything, the numbness is disappearing but man it is so slow to go away…

Your right,this is such a slow process,thats why so many never manage it.you have to want it real bad to stick with it but the rewards are second to none.
