The fastest way to make a new friend. :biggreen:

a wind up torch/ phone charger always helped us out

    A coat bitch!

Someone to hold and look after your coat when it gets too hot, for quick easy access to your coat. Much better than a cloakroom… And thats even if there is a cloakroom… Of which I find there never is :laugh_at:

    an emergency scooby doo

spair pair of socks, or no shoes at all whatever is easier

wooo I must have been in a shitty mood when I wrote that! I suck

nah its a perfectly valid comment given the era in which you started and stopped raving

even in my generation yes it was fun but the costs were fucking heavy – half my friends over the years have had some form of mental or physical health problem from their “recreational” drug use. Many have gone to prison and not for drugs alone, for repeatedly preying on others (theft/burglaries etc) or worse, acts of violence.

I’ve only escaped some bad times myself through luck rather than judgement. there is fuckloads of collateral damage, broken families, domestic violence etc caused from the darkside of the raves/drugs culture, we need people to talk openly and freely about it as well as the good times so younger folk hopefully don’t make as many of the mistakes.

I found that just so many people used drugs all week, were stuck in dead end jobs, turning to small time dealing to make ends meet and getting seriously addicted to K. Not that I met many people so its hardly a valid sample and I am sure lots of people arnt like that. Also, as people did more K they would take more and more risks, until a vast amount of damage was done to a group I used to know.

I was wreckless but only with my own health, never went near any of the darker dodgy stuff people got up to and I got into a lot of debit to fund the partying, not dealing or anything else. Wish I had met more stable ravers though like a lot of the folk on PV, kinda sucks tbh. But then I was addicted to K (well I call it addicted, others would call it normal (which is part of the damn problem)) so I was probably one of the idiots people avoided.

There also seemed to always be a lot of drunk judgemental townies at party’s, not open minded free thinking people up for a laugh.

    *sulks*

this is exactly what I have noticed. I’ve been initially wary to say it as I thought it was just me getting older – but you are way younger than me, and josh who is easily young enough to be my son(!) had mentioned similar.

and when that happens in a environment without the nanny state (bouncers, cops etc) to make people “play nice” its when people are genuinely put into danger, recent events in my area have definitely proven that…

Bring da ba bong. It happens that the only bong availble is so big that you have to put your whole head into to smoke it. That means most people can’t use it…

    bring da bong!!!
