What exactly do you mean my good man?
i meant that maybe if we hadve used all the money well, we might of been at the same stage of maybe “wasting” all the money, but then again i do think iraq was a good idea, as ppl under the dictator ship of saddam had a poor life, BUT HES DEAD NOW U CRAZY AMERICAN BASTARDS, GETOUTGETOUTGETOUT, its like staying at a party to long, and not realise when its time to leave, but more like a crazy killing, war, sandy, hot, party
i just read that, and it doesnt make sense, but i cant be fucked to change it
do you think the war against iraq was about a dictator?
Well, both france, england and America suported a koo there by supplying weapons and military training to Sadams rageim.
The Weapons that England, America and France suplyed, were tragicaly used against Kurds in Iraq.
Though statisticaly, there has been more blood shed from our invasion, than that of Sadams Regime.
Why were the world leaders, like Blair and Bush, not going there to negotioate befor the war?
We seem to be being kept in the dark about somthing! As despite the big media build up before the war about Biological wepons, Reputedly, no weapons have been reported to have been found that posed a significant risk internationaly or in the local surounding Muslim states.
It genraly excepted acerdemicaly, that many students from all over the world, including the Middle East have trained in the United Kingdoms respected Universitys.
I feel that Knowledge is an important foundation for a fair and just society and World The Human Wrights act on the contorary, acknkowlogese that education should be easerly acsesserbal for all.
New Labour though in my opinioun, have made it more dificult for people from unpriverliged backgrounds to get into further education, aswell.
Getting into higher education is piss easy, and with our society’s attitude to debt, this is no barrier.
Spell-checking is available on most compooterz.
for many people all it takes is a bit of will power. there’s a significant group for whom it’s much more difficult… too tired to say much more than that
The first time I came on to the New Deal, was when I was in my early twentys.
I having left school without any great qualifications, partly dew to dyslexia and partly dew to mty rebelieouse headonistic attertude at the time, spent from the ages of 16 to 20, just living to party, traveling all round, making lots of freinds and staying out.
By the time I became 21, I decided that it was time for me to do somthing with my life, other thandrugs, partying and socolising, so I enroled for an NVQ in Electrical Instalation.
Having grown up in with enginearing experiance, I was very good at all the pratical stuff and passed the C&G 263 with distinction, though had a bit of dificulty in filling out the feild everdance record book dew to dyslexia.
When I enterd 6 months of being Unemployed, whilst studying at collage, the NEW DEAL, JOB CENTRE, told me that I would have to come off my Collage Course, because it was not a New Deal reconised Qualification, though it was my best chance of finding relistic wll paid long term work for the future.
Thanks to New Deal, Any realistic Carier Prospects I might have had were Blown Out The Window!!!
So dont tell me that Education is Easerly acsessable and open to all, it is still, I fear, divided, selective and controled by a Work orientated society!
There was a big Blue book of course that I could have studeid on New Deal, despite having started my NVQ before hand!
But there was no substertute for my NVQ 2 in Electrical Instalation,
it was filled with time wasting courses like Flower aranging. :alien_abd CATV, belive the name of the book for New Deal excepted Qualifications is.
Instead, I was Kiked off my NVQ in Electrical instalation, which could have given me a decent carear for life, because my New Deal Advisor could not permit me to continue to claim measly benifits, to keep my self alive on, having been on JSA for more than six months, because I had passed the “GATEWAY” period, as they refer to it as, and NVQ’s were not reconised under the New Deal as being aplicible for people claiming JSA, whilst on New Deal!
(Any one with similar experiancies,
Please feel free to pass them on
to me at jonahug@cyber-junks
and we will see, if there is any
help we may sugest.)
Jona, I am not about to start saying what you should or should not have done with your life, and I have certainly come up against the sort of bullshit rules you are talking about. But it has to be said that to say that the current labour government has made it more difficult to study is in my opinion and experience well wide of the mark.
I am no new labour fan, but I think that it is dangerous to irationally slate them as this will only serve the tories, who if elected, will desert the middle ground, throw off their new clothes and go back to being the self serving middle England bunch of twats that they always have been. Look at the faces at the tory party confrence. Do they look like they give a shit about social inclusion or green issues?
Socialist views are at my heart, but it must be recognised that there has not been a party for a long time (if ever) which is capable of sustaining government along these lines.
It would seem though that New Labour has cared more about its tyes to big Capitalist Corporisations, since the Begining of their “New Labour” campaign, with companys like “ENRON”, rather than their traditional tyes to suppourt peoples traditional Common Human Values, Workers and Uniouns.
What wright has “New Labour” to declair to the British people that 20 Nuclear Power stations are to be built, with out any Public consultaion?
How can a Nuclear Reactor, which will be Radioactive for over 30.000.000 years be considerd a “short term solution to our energy needs, in reducing carbon emissions?
Where will these proposed Nuclear Plants go?
How many more TBq/a’s of Tritium emissionsins wil be pumped into our Sea and Atmoshear if these ridiculous uneviromently freindly, national secerity threatening, non public consented atrosities are built ?
What kind of an international example is Britton Setting for the rest of the World ?
Where would the Nuclear Waste of these proposed obtrsosities go ?
(I would hope it would not be destind for the so called tactical uranium rich nucluer war heads like the one used in Iraq which has deformed the people and poluted there land)
It suposedly costs 1.3 Billion to just decomission a Nuclear Power Plant, with a maximum life of 30 years, How can that be economicaly feesable ?
Why does the Brittish Goverment not listen to Public opinion and invest the proposed 10 million into Renawable, enviromentaly freindly energy like, Wind, Solar and hydro Energy ?
Is it not about time that the Goverment got Realistic about Power use, National security and the threat Nuclear Energy poses to the Enviroment?
By decentralising the national grid and looking at comunity energy progects and Home producing energy progects, such as development grants to comunitys and housing instalations, most houses coulds be self sustainable in energy producing through water turbines, solar panals and wind turbines.
Is it not time that We Expelled the national skeliton in the cubord of our shameful abuse of Radio-active materials, set an example for the rest of the world and take the risks and disadvantages seriously?
Or is it the shamefull ties with Big Buisnesies like British Nuclear Fuels, ENRON and the diabolical unethical creation of Nuclear Weapons which dictates over the Brittish people as to where their Energy comes from, when they turn on ?
