  • to quote my self again!

When I enterd 6 months of being Unemployed, whilst studying at collage, the NEW DEAL, JOB CENTRE, told me that I would have to come off my Collage Course, because it was not a New Deal reconised Qualification, though it was my best chance of finding relistic wll paid long term work for the future.

Thanks to New Deal, Any realistic Carier Prospects I might have had were Blown Out The Window!!!

I was pased on a silly waste of time course, near Ramsgate, called Eurosave,
We used to refer to it as being “EuroSLave“. It was a compleate waste of time and messed my carear up, as I was and whanted to be training to be an Electrician.

Enviromental Task force, Voluntary Sectour or pritty useless, educational courses, if your lucky enough not to be discriminated against, and acturly get on one!

What wright has “New Labour” to declair to the British people that 20 Nuclear Power stations are to be built, with out any Public consultaion?

mate, don’t get my wrong, because I think that nuclear is not the way forward, but you should heck your facts….

there has been public consultation about this issue. Greenpeace challenged the quality of the consultation in court and won 😉

i’m just pointing this out because I feel a lot of the issues that you are posting about, you seem to have a limited understanding of, and this dumbs down the discussions already on here.

by all means offer your opinions, ask questions and all that, but to just keep posting long, poorly informed threads is likely to put people off engaging in discussion at all

The first time I came on to the New Deal, was when I was in my early twentys.

I having left school without any great qualifications, partly dew to dyslexia and partly dew to mty rebelieouse headonistic attertude at the time, spent from the ages of 16 to 20, just living to party, traveling all round, making lots of freinds and staying out.

By the time I became 21, I decided that it was time for me to do somthing with my life, other thandrugs, partying and socolising, so I enroled for an NVQ in Electrical Instalation.

Having grown up in with enginearing experiance, I was very good at all the pratical stuff and passed the C&G 263 with distinction, though had a bit of dificulty in filling out the feild everdance record book dew to dyslexia.

So dont tell me that Education is Easerly acsessable and open to all, it is still, I fear, divided, selective and controled by a Work orientated society!

There was a big Blue book of course that I could have studeid on New Deal, despite having started my NVQ before hand!

But there was no substertute for my NVQ 2 in Electrical Instalation,

it was filled with time wasting courses like Flower aranging. :alien_abd CATV, belive the name of the book for New Deal excepted Qualifications is.

Instead, I was Kiked off my NVQ in Electrical instalation, which could have given me a decent carear for life, because my New Deal Advisor could not permit me to continue to claim measly benifits, to keep my self alive on, having been on JSA for more than six months, because I had passed the “GATEWAY” period, as they refer to it as, and NVQ’s were not reconised under the New Deal as being aplicible for people claiming JSA, whilst on New Deal!

    (Any one with similar experiancies,
Please feel free to pass them on
    to me at
    jonahug@cyber-junks
and we will see, if there is any
    help we may sugest

i am currently on new deal, was on jsa but afta 6 mnths put on on the new deal….av turned 25 worked for 5 weeks(only as temporary supply teacher and went back on on the dole when the work came to an end) but there still keeping me on new deal….

I am doing a college course in september(teaching assistant level 3) to gain a diploma at the end of it but they told me they could pull me off the course to do a course on new deal. ? ? ?

been to Citizens advice bureau because the dole office told me at first that i couldnt do a course (even if its part time and wouldnt be a problem on normal jsa) saying i should be doing the course they offer me and work exp etc….

am finding it hard to find teaching work at the mo seeing as its the summer break coming up soon!! am really stuck, i wouldnt mind doing retail until teaching work comes along but feel under ridiculous pressure from the jobcentre.:hopeless:

wondering what the hell i can do about it, its driving me crazy 😥

I feel that the New Deal, is a bit unfair and biast, from the concept of helping people find long and secure work that they wish to do.

I think that the New Deal was ever set up in an unforsighted rush, just revitlalising old labour and torry legislation, like labour camps of the seventies and thatchers work or move scheme of the ninties, which enables the Goverment to undermine the choice and wrights of unemploeyd people, by geting them to cary out mundane and unconstructive practical labour tasks for 15.00 pounds extra a weak on your Giro, or get Zero cos your sanctioned.

If the reason for the New Deal, was not to create an underpaid, un-reprosented labour force of dismicable workers, the main reason for such unequal and unfair legislation, is for the Mass Auditing of Polertics, because strangly enough, People who are on New Deal, are no longer classed as Being Unemployed, so thus the process of returning to th Daul cue, is reapeated every 12 months, when thus your six months of unproductive, undermighning New Deal, lumber you back to the back of the Daul Cue, when the ENVIROMENTAL TASK FORCE, VOLUNTURE SECTOUR, or PRIVATE SECTOUR, disposes of your wasted time and efforts, because it is cheaper for them to subsidise more unemployed people to get to do mundane, unproductive and individlisticaly undermighning, underpaid, unreprosentesd Labour.

It enables Polerticians to stand up in the Houses of Parliment an wail, “look, we have halfed unemployment by half an anum”, cos unemployed people have to waist their time on these rediculase courses every six months or loose their benifits, which may evan make them homeless.

wondering what the hell i can do about it, its driving me crazy

As mentioned previously, New Deal offers a subsidey scheme for employers to subserdise people on New Deal, so as they may keep their Benifits. New Deal may pay the patential employee of this subserdee scheme. Details of how this scheme works, should be available at any Job Centre.

I had a bit of joy myself with private employment subserdies, up london with Electrical firms, when New Deal was trying to take me off my colage course, but they woulndn’t pay me enough to have paid for board and lodge in London!

Alternitiverly, apart from joining the New Deal Enviromental Task Force, Voluntary Sectour, dificult to get on and largly useless educational course that New Deal offer, or entering a private New Deal Subserdie, with a patential private employer, who may give you the boot after six months, lumbering you back at square one, I can only sugest boycoting the New Deal System with freinds and like minded inderviduals, forming a piket line on such undermighning pointless and mundane ETF placements and forming working cltvs. to suport your self, self sustainable.

    interesting read…

enables the Goverment to undermine the choice and wrights of unemploeyd people, by geting them to cary out mundane and unconstructive practical labour tasks for 15.00 pounds extra a weak on your Giro

av now been booked on a 13 week work exp course but only getting £15 extra a week which will just about cover travel costs….its full time and means i cant look for other work, i now cant do my college course (teaching level 3) which would give me a qualification to apply for teaching jobs.

Am completely at a loss, trying so hard to find work and am having very bad luck 😥

cant believe am being forced into something i dont want to do with the threat of losing benefits if i dont comply

it makes me sick, am feeling depressed

Brown is spose to take over from Blair today! I wonder what will be new

    about newer labour?
