Same – and i think I look pretty good 😉
get followed by security guards etc and the like all the time –
had insults shouted out of car windows at me, and in shops, worst was when I got started on a bus (on my fucking birthday!!) and stood up for myself and reacted to this guy calling me a ‘pink haired cunt’ and prehaps agressivley to him offering me out and got threatened with the police by the bus driver (I guess after wanting feminism…. I cant then say …but I’m a girl!! :hopeless:) – etc – but on the other hand pulled a loevly fit fella off PV 😉 and get old grannies come up to me in supermarkets chatting about me hair etc raaa

i spose i have an easier time of it being in Brighton tho.. i get good and bad comments. ALWAYS get comments about my piercings. most of them are “did that hurt?!” which ive stopped responding to now.
i went back up to Northamptonshire a few weeks ago to stay with some old friends on an estate that is known for its violence and such as i was looking to relocate back up there. was walking down the street during the middle of the day an 2 blokes (absolute cunts) shouted “err man look at dat dutty boi! fuckin dutty batty boi” i turned round ready to give it the mouth but took a look at them an thought it probably wasnt the best idea. yes i have dreads. yes i have a rather large hole in my ear. yes i might look like i slept in a gutter the night before but no way do i look gay (even tho i am) unless they too are gay, most people are suprised when i tell them.
FUCK SMALL MINDEDNESS! definatly confirmed in my mind that Northamptonshire isnt the place for me. when i stepped off the train in brighton i felt a sigh of relief come over me and knew i was home

we live in suburbia and it too is full of small minded generally sad twats – I get no problem when I am in london etc
and i know what you mean my house mate (although ‘miss jones’ has given notice and his ‘rigsby’ (me) is terribly upset- I prefer this to ‘tom and lyndy’ as I refuse to be called lyndy and he refuses to be tom – off of ‘gimme gimme gimme’ :hopeless:) is gay and a very very ‘straight’ acting guy still got smacked in the mouth on a bus near here with a friend – and had to call the police etc and reorted it as a ‘hate crime’ 😥

makes me sooo angry. In Brighton there is quite alot of homophobic attacks. which may or may not suprise you. there is a self defense workshop for queers tho run by the queer mutiny lot. went to one just for the jokes.. it was basically just teaching you how to fight dirty
at the moment its PJ’s, slippers and dressing gown as im not very well
I purchased a black hoodie and some black ADIDAS jogging bottoms for the gym. I look like a townie, its very odd.

lol I was a goth in my youth and had the same experience.
the word kev is associated because of Kevin & Perry

……….and dont forget ‘sharons’,
we were called grebo’s as I wasnt a goth,
and then later err… shit forgotten – you know the whole: nirvana and smashing pumpkins and sonic youth, L7, butthole surfers scene – ah grunge :laugh_at:
I’m not sure if it was from kevin and perry as I think it predated the show as I remeber that from when I was a kid
hahaha dirrrrrrty greeeeebooooo! same same same. although i loved black but still had that dirty baggy look. which i spose ive still carried on with the crusty look lol. but yea, i came up with the term GREEBIC. greebo/gothic an tried to start this whole new movement.. lets just say i was the only follower.
