  • I’ve wondered the same thing, i came to the conclusion that it’s a game of ‘who’s got the biggest dick’ then they can brag about it afterwards.
But in my experience cos i know so many dole bludgers its usually a case of which event is cheapest lol nevermind which one they’d prefer to go to the most.

the mainstream entertaintment industry has bigger dicks than dance promoters (even if they get brewers droop). promoters tried this in my town, now there is nothing left other than shitty rnb and if you are lucky one EDM night every month in a townie nightclub of the sort I have not set foot in since I was 17 and have no intention of doing so now…

what annoys me more is with a bit of forethought its perfectly feasible to hold a licensed EDM event in a “arts/community centre” type of place which happens all the time in other European nations but no one here seems to want to put in the effort…

Best parties……………. free, easy to find, and back in 1989 lol

    1990s illegal warehouse party!

used to be a multi rigger bumpkin on a hot bank hoilday weekend somewhere pretty.

where he lives (not too far away from where I used to live and also where Deezl currently is) its all locked down anyway as everywhere has been rinsed over the last 20 years

them parties Deezl was mentioning got shut down hard were in the same areas that me and Dan OOOPS and loads of other folk from back in the day were raving in…

It’s mad. I go through there often and just think about it. Since the fire in 2011 it’s really open though, a LOT of trees were destroyed..

I can’t understand why all the promoters hold the events on the same weekends, especially given how few licensed EDM events happen these days even compared to 5 or 10 years ago (which is also why I can remember when one was posted…)

It is a daft idea mate, especially as all the big events that weekend are gonna be pretty much within a 50 mile radius of each other, very silly way to operate.

That’s the sort of place where I began MC-ing mate, used to fkin love them nights man, such great memories!

My fav is a small outdoors marquee house music party’s
    Lots of loved up people,

We generally stuck to 2 sound systems – most people know each other, everyone looks after each other and even when randoms turn up in heels and pretty little party dresses at their first (outdoor party and not sure what its all about) are welcomed, and of course we have out vans, wood burners and cups of tea and bed if needed!!
