  • yes but I cant imagine how life must of been while all drugs where legal and for there to be such tough restrictions on them now, at a time when you could openly take any class A drug in public or weed for those who where even alive..

I went to the ukraine and I was allowed to buy weed in the pharmacy there or any other drug I wanted.. well not LSD or any of those class A’s but I was allowed to buy as much weed as I wanted or morphine or any other prescription drug as I wanted so you just have to travel to these corrupt countries or amsterdam where I am told that it is now illegal to sell weed to foreign people?

I wish LSD and all drugs where legal, this war on drugs is stupid and is only making things worse and the law just uses it to their advantage and lies and propaganda that people buy into.. but what can any drug user do? a minority of users who hopefully one day be able to buy any drug in any pharmacy just like the alcohol prohibition was eliminated and a failed experiment and now its a very harmful widely accepted drug that most people laugh if you tell them its a drug..”but its just a drink” thats not a drug!

that was interesting what you day about the diesel.. I just recently got myself a 3ltr diesel BMW 😀 so you just found a good use for weed..

but also on the news I think it was in russia? or one of those countries but they found a load of weed growing from .. I forget but no drug dealer planted it there and I remember being surprised how it grew

Not quite. Oil is thicker than diesel. But you can use it as a precursor to bio-fuel.

Mind you, these days there are plenty of fish and chip / kebab shops selling their used chip fat for a bargain price. Doesn’t start very well in cold conditions but doesn’t need much to make it combustible.

Big Oil (well Royal Dutch Shell) has already picked up on the value of WVO in nations like Europe and is already buying this up (with the blessing of the water companies who understandably don’t want it in the sewers and already a quantity of normal diesel in many European nations is based on reprocesssed veg oil (they’ve worked out how to blend it without causing problems with modern engines). I would expect further quanties are used as heavy oil used for container ships etc.

The smart Singaporeans are not going to be sailing the Sichem Hiroshima between Thames Port, Tilbury, Rotterdam, Felixstowe etc in a big circle (without going anywhere near a OPEC country) unless there was a good reason to do this, such as recovering waste veg oil for reprocessing. I noticed this whilst following the movements of this impressive ship out of pure curiosity…

It is interesting to note how prices of vegetable oils have been carefully put up as part of the “credit crunch”. From what I understand, the very latest diesels (last 6 years, 2006 onwards) have pre-heaters that don’t like veg oil at all. So a slightly older diesel is recommended, unless you are prepared to cut the diesel and oil.

Uhuh. It’s not actually going to do any good because there’s an even cheaper alternative that doesn’t need a precursor.

Go google “Stanley Meyers” and welcome to the Age of Aquarius. 🙂

to be fair the people on the street (especially those behind the wheel) are as guilty of encouraging development as the big oil companies. Folk want “max power” and racing cars simply for their day to day transport and the bulk of them are only now worrying about the rising cost of motoring. Unless they couldn’t afford (or nick) the fuel to get to a rave, no one really gave a shit in the 90s, even on the “hippy” end of the rave scene. TBH much of my eco awareness comes from my parents and teachers (including even the religious ones) rather than the party scene anyway.

Admittedly i’ve recently started learning to drive again as I eventually need to do so for work (in a rural area) especially if weather conditions make it unpleasant to cycle (and the instructors car is diesel).

I’m no motoring expert or enthusiast (TBH driving cars for me, in spite of a far better instructor than ones I had in the 90s is a stressful mission and I’m dreading stuff like trying the test again) – but the impression I’ve got is modern diesel motor cars give both good power and relative fuel efficiency, at the expense of being way more finicky about the nature of fuel put into them.

    Why is weed illegal ?

Crazy really, tobacco is far more harmful and addictive, as is alcohol which is also the cause of far more crime yet they are both legal.

Truth is UK, EU and US make a ton of money taxing tobacco and alcohol, and even though people can make/grow their own tobacco/alcohol they cant mass produce it in quantities to satisfy their own use. Weed on the other hand if legalised most people could home grow enough for their own use so any tax on it would easily be avoided. Also it does make people less productive and not care about stuff, our consumer society relies on us all working like good little wage slaves to buy the latest rubbish the adverts tell us we need to make us happy lol
