Taking away almost anyone’s benefits never ends up helping them, most of them need the benefits, very few are looking for a free ride.

Coerced consent is bullshit but it’d be good to see more people accept treatment/help although this doesn’t seem to be the way to go.

Accept is one thing mate. Treatment is not even half the troubles of an addict though. Having even less than their miserable lives had already is not going to help- them. Suicide is more likely.

Yeah this shit isn’t treatment, but more and better options available to addicts would be the way to go but $$ and moral outrage keep it from being a reality.
