TBH nearly all the young women I know do not take drugs at all or if they do stop around their mid 20s; and this includes the hippy/party types. In some cases they are new/expecting parents or mothers of pre-teens so that makes perfect sense (my own parents were once “hippy” types in the 1970s).
Women become emotionally mature quicker than men and thus more worried about professional/personal reputations; more so with all these social networks which are easy for employers and colleagues to monitor.
They are less likely to openly discuss stuff in a moral and legal grey area in untrusted environments; although RCs aren’t illegal to posess; taking them is classed as “potential self-harm/mental health issues” (the same applies to risky alcohol use patterns and/or illegal drug use); todays employers monitor professional staff for risky behaviour patterns.
Blokes often don’t care until they are about 30/40; or they make a major fuck up in life; however by that age if they’ve survived and aren’t in prison/mental health unit they’ve learned how to regulate their use to some extent.
