I just had a friend request on facebook, she was a friend of another friend. When I accpeted it she messaged me instantly and went fucking mental talkiing all sorts of shitliik “you no have no pics, you must be a hacker”. I wish had no pics cos she’s a fucking mong. Honestly, I’d be banned for 1 little pedo joke yet cranks like that are free to roam.
I’ve only really used the place for about 3 weeks and I’m already sick to fuck of it.

I gave up on facebook ages ago tbh mainly due to all my best djs/musicians bombarding my news feed with promotions and advertisements etc, this happened to myspace a few years ago too with spam spam spam, does my head in! PV used to be better aswell IMHO cos the music and drugs/party forums where much more popular, now it’s all kind of creepy online sex stuff, not interested. I will continue to contribute to the odd music / drug discussion however.

Yeah I had an account a good few years ago which lasted probably 90 seconds. I only wen’t back on thanks to a fantastic bloke I met here and he introd me to some of the old PV crew who are all nice people. If only I’d know half the people on there had mad cow disease before.

I am a hacker (in the old skool sense where you do something good with your tech knowledge rather than fuck up innocent peoples computer systems or steal/sell their private data) and there’s a shit ton of pics on my flickr; including some of me and my friends if you look hard enough amongst the random photos of networking hardware and weather maps decoded from analogue radio transmissions and strange looking electronic things I have built – which is what proper hackers actually do.

I have never used facebook though as I can’t be arsed with it, too many of my extended family are on there added to which using my real name instantly gets me confused with 10 000 Chinamen; many of whom also share the same interests as me as well as name. I’ve already had people swear blind they have seen me on there when it is clearly some other random bloke in Malaysia…

I get this on my twitter loads; although thats what the bulk of it is used for. I tend to deliberately confuse the adbots on places like that by using languages other than English (Dutch and German also makes the bots paranoid as they associate folk from these nations with being very privacy concious). I even had a hyves.nl account at one but their Dutch owners (part of De Telegraaf media group ) downsized the site into online games (even though they’d tried to get more English speaking users); I suspect this was because they found it hard to extract enough personal info to deliver targeted ads.

Google genuinely think I am an “old bald German” age 55-64 because I don’t just use adblockers everywhere but I search for obscure analogue electronic equipment and old style components/projects rather than new smartphones or even the latest “maker” stuff…

the music stuff is mostly on PVR (partyvibe radio) though some split on the rave forum (I tend to increasingly put music and tech stuff on PVR rather than elsewhere as its more logical for me).

around 2010 i deleted all my friends on facebook, not really sure why, but since then its been ok peoples who’ve added me back.

I clear out my facebook every now and then, I only really use it to look at football/weed/science/inane shit and make stupid remarks. Although on saying that, I do do alot of social event planning, but by this I mean, trying to gather 15-20 bods to go the nearest (or furthest) skatepark for a day out. Not easy to do, this is wear facebook really helps as I don’t have all the bods digits, and some of them don’t even have phones, plus the costs of calling all of them wouldn’t bare thinking of.
My only real gripe about facebook is that no matter how hard you try to not go on it….your somehow drawn back to it. Even at this ungodly hour (for me at least!) I have failbook in another tab, I know jack shee-hit is going on on it, but still, it must be there.

I have a great time on Facebook. I use it everyday to keep in touch with my family and close friends. I do get a lot of adds from random people IDK but i just choose not to accept the request. and the rest of my profile is on private as the security stuff on the FB is a lot better these days.

It’s a bit more difficult for me, I have 2 friends I actually know and the rest were thanks to the scientist sorting them out, This loon had a mutual friend so I had no reason to dent it. Last time though.
