For Christmas I will visit some of my relatives who live in the East of England (they have a house out in the country).

My mum and grandmother do not live in the UK anymore (she has returned to her native country of Malaysia) – they are practising Christians (mum attends church 3 times a week and is active in the groups there) and they will have their celebrations after the church service.

as a family we no longer spend much on presents/decorations etc (I don’t even decorate the house) as I think its a over commercialisation of what this time really stands for..

I tend to spend Christmas day with close family (also I will telephone my mum and grandmother as I get cheap international calls (being a IT/telecoms engineer has its advantages) – and then only around boxing day onwards look for rave type stuff.

Depending on the weather I may visit some friends in one of the outlying villages (this is a 26 mile bicycle ride each way, although I am fit enough to do this its not a great deal of fun in the rain!)

we do similar – only £5 for a gift as it gets riddiculous otherwise, and not being religious and all, makes it quite fun to come up with something

we were gonna make our pressies this year but not sure whats going on, I’ve done a few paintings so me bro wants to pick one out – which is nice

we dont decorate the house either

and I prefer spending xmas day at work than with my family as they get too drunk, irritate me and I end up like a stroppy teen :you_crazy

dunno bout criggy, usual family stuff, i guess…

but hopefully goin skiin on the 27th or 28th!

Not celebrating Christmas this year :frown:

Doin the usual xmas with friends – I get to do the cooking this year though (so I’m going the whole hog and attempting a medieval 5 bird roast… Will be interesting to see if I can pull it off :weee:)

New year is gonna be another warehouse/squat party out and about somewhere in Glasvegas :bounce_g::bounce_g::bounce_g:

That sounds like a meal and half noname!

I’ll be doing the usual family things, seeing friends, getting all the xmas presents at the last minute lol.

Xmas this year will be a blow up xmas tree (thats it for decorations) xmas dinner up the pub then probably off to see friends or something…

The time of year I despise!

I’ll be firing up me new barbie cobber…

      :laugh_at:

Yeah ill be going home for xmas day. Now ive got older i usually end up being in a bit of a bad mood after the the completely ott presents session. Im much more up for getting together with friends/family and just having some nice food really, maybe a really simple gift to each other.

having dinner with family on christmas eve before they head up north, then spending the day with mates on christmas day, with lots of food and lots of booze then we’ll head off free partying on boxing day – got to love a 4 day holiday!
