I would have to say Billy Nasty somewhere in Plymouth about 94…. Sorry I cannot remember specifics. Or Carl Cox or similar playing in Barnstaple arround the same time. It seems very odd now such a big act was playing in such a small town. I dont know if it was because it was an underground scene then and it’s more mainstream now.
Of course the Megadog events were brilliant, I just have difficulty remembering them :crazy_fre :crazy_fre :crazy_fre :crazy_fre

i hav been to well to many events to pick a best 1. Some of the best had to b when 1stly started going clubbin. slinky cia cardiff 2000 , timeflies feat radio essential mix cardiff ice rink 2000 and all ibiza gigs i went to in 2001.

other than that playin @ bionic last oct in evolution cardiff was another wicked experience!!

Too many to choose from, but some of the ones that are key memories for me are going to hardcore events at Bowlers in Manchester around 97-99, as my first experiences outside beer boy clubs in Huddersfield, and nights at The Orbit in Leeds from 2001-04, where i discovered and learnt to love proper techno. Aside from that running my own Hard Life events from 2004 to June last year. And my first few times at The Mill in Bradford 2003/4 blew me away too – the place truly has the free party vibe within a club and is imo the best club I’ve ever been too – its just a shame that the nights that run there are psy, hard house and electro/tech-house stuff and not really my cup of tea musically – because of that getting my hands on the place for a Hard Life night in 2005 has to be very close to the top of my list.

Seeing Sven Vath at Amnesia in Ibiza in 02 was amazing, and the while Ibiza experience for the first time in 2001. Q-Base in Germany for my 25th birthday in 2005 was pretty damn special too.

Reading was where I started partying, and some of the underground clubs we used to have were just so relaxed and free. The After Dark Club and Checkpoint Charlie of course (still have my membership card in case I ever get back, I hope I will cos it’s one of the best nights ever !) And Free State and Inna?State and Technosense and the Central Club (where security caught me skinning up and did nothing more than ask for a Rizla) and Dick at the Boxing Club. Even the Matrix, we thought it was commercial but they had some good nights with psytrance from Leeds and hardhouse by *Ting and all sorts of stuff. Even in the Matrix you could smoke if discreet. And Lost The Plot up at the Uni two or three times a year and the Purple Turtle and (I forget the names) loads of chilled out cafes where we used to go on Sundays.

Yes Reading was a good place to party at the turn of the century. Despite the inevitable fall-outs everyone in the scene seemed to be on the same basic wavelength. I could do with more like that right now ! raaa
