It’s funny, I feel like I should say my best clubbing experiences were helping run the dance paradise events with my brother and mates. Got to see some amazing live acts and particulalry remember people like Awesome 3, N-Joi, Prodigy, Egyptian Empire, Hyper On Experience, Shades of Rhythm etc etc. They were awesome nights that I will never forget and they introduced me to the rave scene.

…but! I think the best night I had was around 1997 at a small club night in Norwich. Just local dj’s and Steve Thomas. Nothing spectacular in that, but I was with my best friends, heard some top tunes and it felt completely ‘right’. We buzzed for hours afterwards and it’s a night I’ll always look back on with fond memories. I’m sure Titch will remember this one.

Just goes to show it’s not always about the big names, big productions and huge crowds.

I think any night in ’91/92 that i went to milwaukees, never managed to get that feeling back. The ceiling was about 5″ above my head and the 25k subbass system quite literally took your breath away, wow never forget that place saw all the top hardcore dj’s b4 it all seperated into different genres.
Also used to love the gallery in turnmills, never seen so many good looking women in one room just didnt wanna leave the dancefloor. Although the one time i got followed and eyed up by a transvestite taller than me (i’m 6’7″) and cheered on by the whole club was pretty freaky.
Although free parties are where its at for that proper feeling of freedom now.

yeah I remember Lab4 doin a blinder at the pleasure rooms in tottenham some time ago 99 or 2k. That was good – really friendly crowd and a top venue before the roof fell in on it all

lab4, yes all artists would like a break or to stop what they are doing but it seems that it was lez’s decision to stop the duo not adam 🙁 yet she said in an interview that lab4 would carry on much longer yes i understand this obviously cant be promised but frankly i just miss lab4

o and another favourite was a psy dj at a free party in chester absolutly spanking, didnt get his name, im playing a set or two in chester this summer so hopefully shall run into him again

Seeing Pendulum in London – truly, truly sensational…

But…

Years back (oh wot an old fart) – I will never forget when I went to my first free party, obviously I can not say who the RIG/Organisers were for a good reason (you know who u are:wink: ) – lets just say they are known, well known and the best fookin sound system in the mids !!

Everyone was so friendly, on the same level, understood one another without really saying much !(yes a mashed up crew for sure) !

The bass lines were creeping over the ridgeway valleys, the stompin was endless….for the first time in my life I felt part of something….

And that was for the first time I ever saw the local authorities look defeated !

It’s the woods 4 me every time.. our own partys in the blue bell’s or first little green planet etc. but i av been to some special club nights:
pendragon at fridge,logic+berserk,ben-eye,lab-4 and markeg at counrty club and captin tinrib steve thomas oberon and orange peel live p.a’s at the fridge FULL POWER ACID TRANCE..where does the time go

In used to go there !!!, almost broke my hand one night in a particulary elated moment !!

Think my fav club was Labrynth Dalston, used to love that place although the few Exodus do’s at Dungeons were legendry, but not technically a club night.

I used to have a generaly theory on clubs, if there ws any kind of dress code I wasnt going at all, and if there was posh seating it was likely to be crap…generally the scruffier the better !!!

last summer..went to a free party near sheff.. few rigs up there, DnB, Techno, Dub/Reggae, was pretty good do. Anyway was there for couple of days spannered and me and me mate realised needed to get back but missed last bus.. so ended up hitching a lift from an ice cream van, very surreal. Best thing was the free ice cream

Quadrant park in Liverpool 90 91 was banging, back2basics Leeds new years eve 94 is one that proper sticks in the mind as I was working there that nite and Jeremy Healy said I was rude C–t so F–K YOU JERAMIA!and the following new years eve at Fantasy island in Skeggness that was out of this world 10 arenas that nite, for me the best were the 88 to 92 room and the journys by dj room when Farly played his set the place was going f–king mental definetly one of the HIGH points of my life but then again I am a sad c–t……………oh and I almost forgot Club UK in wandsworth all ways worth a look and Return to the source I could go on and on the more I think the harder it is to really say what my best nite was.

hey folks, not posted for a while.
I must say i have seen Carl cox at the waterpark in magaluf, it was brilliant, spent all day there and he came on about 10pm or something, it was banging, seen him at space in ibiza, was wicked

and defo the youngsters and the studios in edinburgh,. more of a personal one that as i had just met my girlfriend/ now fiance, it was brilliant, a really good atmosphere and banging tunes.

Had a couple of fantastic nights at RTTS in the rocket, holloway road around 2000.
