is this not just another type of gov survey/petition thing where it gives the illusion that the government actually gives a shit what the population thinks when in reality they’ll just do what ever they want anyway.

if it came from anyone other than the lib dems I’d share your cynicism. however increasing liberty is their main agenda (theoretically) so its a good bet you’re not completely wasting your time

well I feel that no matter who it is in power alot of the babble they claim that they are going to do they never do … it’s all lies just to get in power then they fuck every thing up more then it is .. I’d like to be proveed wrong tho.

well its true politicians are famed for not keeping their promises but we have the power to hold them responsible for that.. however its going to take a lot of time and a lot of people getting involved.

i should also point out that the lib dems are already ‘in power’, this is different from election manifesto promises, they are gathering statistics to use to convince the other half of the government to go with their policies

and even when they are in power a lot of politicians are so mindfull of fucking up their career or being remembered for being that guy that destroyed the economy or the climate or said that thing about drugs, that most of them are so middle of the road that they may as well all just be one individual cloned a hundred times. they may not all share exactly the same ideas, but the only party that seems radically different from any of the others is the bnp and there just a bunch of cunts.

im same as you daft id love to be proved wrong, just cant see it happening in the near future…

well yeah it did actually, we got a hung parliament, a coalition, and a referendum on the alternative vote next May. If people get out and vote on that then next election the lib dems will have a larger share of the power, and be able to push for more electoral reform.. and so on.
