The Great St Trinians Train Robbery

Speaking of train films. Anyone know the name of a film about a subway train getting hijacked by some proffesional dude and his 3 henchman? The main guy is a crook with honour and values but the other guys take over.

It’s a good film I watched late one night when very stoned, but have never seen or heard of it again.

P.S Dazed & Confused. Top film!

    I’d also like to add:

    Fifth Element
    Ghost Dog

has anyone seen “everybody loves sunshine” with david bowie in it. its a low budget british gangster movie that i saw one caned late night as well..never come across it since in any way, not thru lack of askin either…

…dunno if it was any good, seemed wicked, but i was mashed….

Beatles – Yellow Submarine – purely for the animation.

Monty Pythons – Life of Brian and The Holy Grail

    Fight Club

Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels

    Die Hard 1

Dedinately agree with you on those two….

“he’s not the messiah, hes a very naughty boy. now Piss off”

or when the entire crow chants in unison “We are all individuals”

    In no particular order…

Clerks (the orignal and best Kevin Smith film),

    Fight Club,

Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels,

Kind of torn between Requiem For a Dream and Pye (think that’s the correct spelling for the mathematical symbol). I love making people watch Requiem For a Dream and seeing their reaction at the end.

But far above all is the Shoreshank Redemption. Complete emotinal rollercoaster, yet with the most uplifting ending ever.

Films that just miss out though are The Crow, Usual Suspects, and Memento.

obvious parallels between “yellow submarine” and aspects of the alternative music scene – pretty obvious who the “blue meanies” are supposed to be :biggreen:

usual suspects and momento are incredible first watches, as is fight club. proper adrenalin rushy film.

    right hmmmmmmmm
    Human traffic
    High fidelity
La dolce vita (don’t think this is too arty, go see it it fucking blew me away)
Withnail and I (I can’t beleive this hasn’t been mentioned yet)
    Bladerunner

    I can’t order these films

    it’s spelt pi not pye

Same kind of journey as green mile. Proper upseting. I know it’s just hollywood and there are real life events happening that are just as moving and sad but I shed a few tears over that movie.

Lots of people love that film, it just dose not do it 4 me, maybe I should give it another look?

I just finished watching Zatoichi by Takeshi Kitano.

Best film Ive seen in so long! It will completely blow you away.

Its the best sword action thriller/killer movie Ive ever seen. If you think of kill bill as the best, it cant even compare to Zatoichi, easily 10 times better.

    Nice twist as well.

blatant. killbill tried to copy zatoichi, but failed miserably. i fucking hated killbill, i dont mind tarantino shitting over american culture, coz its a) his and b) shit anyway. when he starts fucking with ancient traditions he clearly knows nothing about except seeing it in other movies, i recon he should be made to drown in his own faeces. just a thought.
