First free party was in 1997 i think, a small one at The Geldston Locks in Norfolk, then the following week a wicked pit party in Tunstall Forest…

Mine was Frantic at SE1 in London for a mates birthday. I was 21 and had never done any drugs or been out properly. My mate who was getting into raving at the time bought me a ticket and a couple of pills and I mishioned it down from Swansea. This was a whole new world of not turning up to clubs until I would usually be going home from them! Went to an afterparty at George 1V pub afterwards…needless to say the whole thing was a life changing experienhce that I will always remember as one of my best ever.

god, just reading through all this has brought back some memories. My first rave was helter skelter@the sanctuary way back in sept 93. I can remember shitting myself as we got to the door as i was only 15 at the time and didn’t fancy the prospect of hanging around MK all night if i got turned away. Got in though and had the time of my life.
Spin forward a few years and my first free party was back in birmingham in an old gym in moseley area. 1996 was a good yearraaa the rest they say is history

back then no one (not even security staff) cared for shit about age restrictions – I get asked for ID more today than I did when I was 16-17..

was spiral tribe do in malvern….about 1990/91 ish
wasnt alone though !! big word got round and about 40000 showed…

was very messy…..
anyone on here remember speckled doves ?????
