every little bit of info helps the “enemy”. This is a very high profile site which is first up on google rankings and has been featured on the BBC a number of times in the 10 years it has been running.
A lot of randoms go on to forums who don’t agree with raves, they don’t argue with us because they know they will get ripped, but lurk without posting and take down details. recently the councils have actually told locals to take matters into their own hands and check sites like this for info. your average 50 year old farmer type often ain’t gonna know what to search for from youtube alone but if they see a forum post with a rig name in it gives them a clue.
Also, lots of party venues get used more than once, and mentioning locations on here can also be seen as “rubbing locals noses in it”. locals actually feel they are being “bullied” when a rave kicks off in their area due to the mess and noise and tons of people getting on the land uninvited, so if they see their manor mentioned bare times on here they do what is called “target hardening” which means places get locked down.
Youtube is bait but I’m seeing less blatant party footage than before (I think a lot of videos from a couple of years ago get repeated in the searches, making it look like there are more than actually exist).

there’s nothing that can be done about people being bait on other websites, but its pointless this place adding to the cops’ intelligence info
To be fair SJ users have been a lot more careful recently; bait stuff tends to get edited but some still comes out in arguments and rig politics – makes you wonder if some crews want others to have rigs taken..
Especially on a site with less moderation or their own “personal” site like murdochspace, bebo etc people have to be individually responsible for what they post on line, and if they are lax then they are also responsible for any bad things that may happen. We all need to remember that even if our friends like drugs and parties some things we do actually are illegal and the rest of society doesn’t like it..
